Within the first 1/2 of the year I have plans to travel to Highpoint, North Carolina; Winchester, Kentucky; Denver, Colorado; Clearfield, Utah; Lakeland & Miami, Florida - all for work. :-(
On the plus side I also have a long weekend trip with the man planned for Easter to visit Portland, OR and see MUSE in concert - so excited for that trip! I've thought before that Portland is a place I could live - I'm anxious for this short trip to see if it really does hold that promise.
So, between now and the end of April I will be on the road 35% of the time and only 3 days of that will be for pleasure. This is just the schedule as it stands now, it's all subject to change and knowing this company - change it will! There is another trip lurking 'in the darkest depths of Mordor' - a training mission - if I choose to accept it (like I have a choice) in Brasil and Uruguay that could sneak in and jack my 35% travel up to 50% without blinking an eye. Not too mention the need for a follow up trip to the UK and the start of the audit season coming up in May. 'Deep breath'.
All I know at this point is I do want to travel, but for adventure, for culture, for relaxation- being the corporate traveler that flys in and out of a city without ever getting to experience it's character or it's charm is not the life for me.
